Так здебільшого в голос кажуть про цього виродка у світі.
А ще вигукують про нього, наприклад, «путін — Х… ЛО: ла-ла-ла-ла-ла-ла-ла-ла!» — приспівку уперше виконали вболівальники футбольного клубу «Металіст» у Харкові 30 березня 2014 року на спільному марші з фанами «Шахтаря». Унаслідок російської агресії проти України приспівка широко розповсюдилася, отримавши низку обробок і варіацій і стала інтернет-мемом.
Вислів набув популярності серед противників політики московського фюрера путіна як в Україні, так і за її межами, в тому числі серед російських опозиціонерів.
«Всенародний культурний мем» отримав величезний резонанс у міжнародній пресі й став широко використовуватися не тільки вітчизняними, а й численними закордонними виконавцями, особливо в акціях протесту проти путіна.
«Пісня про путіна» згодом поширилась у всіх сферах людського життя: у політиці, релігії, спорті, інформаційній сфері, медіа та народній творчості. Серед філологів мем розглядається як сленговий неологізм і обсценізм в українській мові, який має походження з російського мату і став літературним міжнародним висловлюванням.
